His spiritual seed shall serve him.Future generations will hear from us about the wonders of the Victorious Lord. His generation yet to be born will glorify him.And they will all declare, "It is finished!".

Psalm 22:30-31 (TPT)

In this translation, Brian Simmons in his notes writes that spiritual seed refers to the sons and daughters who were birthed through the work of the cross. The last words uttered by Jesus on the cross were It is finished (John 19:30). If we do not embrace our identity as sons and daughters, we will be working and performing to assert our sense of value and significance. As born-again believers, we simply are his son, his daughter. We do not spend a lifetime becoming that - we start at the finish line because the King of kings declared, "It is finished". Our sonship is the foundation of who we are. We are first his child, then a mother or father, prophet, leader, spouse, parent, and so on. Whatever else we may be, our identity as son and daughter is eternal. Yes, we continue to seek his heart, we aspire to partner with Him in everything. But at the core of our beingwe are his son, his daughter. We were made for his pleasure, and He is already pleased with us. For all of us who are burning to fulfil the call on our lives, let us respond to his invitation to revel in his pleasure over us. In the book of Acts, Paul describes King David: "I have found in David, son of Jesse, a man who always pursues my heart and will accomplish all that I have destined him to do" (Acts 13:22, TPT). Brian Simmons writes the alternate translation of all that I have destined him to do, as he will do all my pleasure. The implication here is that we fulfil our call out of the place of Gods pleasure. Where are you experiencing Gods pleasure in this season? How is He leading you according to his pleasure? There are various biological reasons for the peacocks train. Those countless "eyes" that distinguish the beautiful feathers are certainly mesmerising. Is it enough that peacocks exist purely for their creators pleasure? Whether that may be true or not, would we be satisfied to exist purely for Gods pleasure and less for his purpose? Can we strive less to be that mighty tool in his hand and simply be satisfied in friendship with Him?
